Unfortunately, I have a slight cold, so the start of the day is more difficult for me today than on the last few days. After a hearty breakfast with Jürgen, we drove from our Airbnb to the headquarters of AAV GmbH. In the meantime, a daily rhythm has also formed for me, first of all, orders, offers, etc. have to be processed, which are part of the daily business.
After this, I was allowed to order products with Sayd, who did his apprenticeship at AAV GmbH. Sayd was taken on as a businessman after his training and has a large area of responsibility. Today he showed me some tasks. He processes the orders in the online shop and ensures that the goods are sent directly to the customer. In addition, he orders products that have been sold by the sales department if they are not in stock. I was allowed to look over his shoulder during all this and was impressed by the variety of products in occupational safety. Now it was time for the lunch break. Jürgen invited me to a kebab bag, which was simply delicious. I have rarely eaten such a good kebab pocket.
Back in the office, a product training started immediately. The managing director of a German shoe manufacturer showed us everything about work shoes. First, he explained to us the new standard that will apply to work shoes and then presented some shoes from his range. I was amazed at how sporty and modern work shoes can be. Afterwards I helped Jürgen with the remaining tasks for the day.
Conclusion of the day: I was extremely surprised by the variety of products used in occupational safety. It is amazing how extensive the range of products for occupational safety is. I also think the possibility of staying overnight via Airbnb is an excellent idea. During my internship, I mainly stayed with Jürgen in Airbnb apartments. You can prepare your own food there, usually have more rooms and, in contrast to hotels, everything has a more personal touch. You feel right at home.
