PRESS: 16.07.2020: You can rely on Germany's craftsmen. They saw, hammer, bake or repair 24 hours a day and know exactly what they are doing – for themselves and for their customers. On the occasion of the 10th Day of the Skilled Trades on 19 September 2020, this is to be made visible on handwerk.de with a unique video project. The 24-hour video project gives an insight into the day of craftsmen. From sunrise on the crane, to the fine-tuning of a prosthesis, to the repair mission at night.

Join now and become part of a unique community action

All craftsmen and craftsmen are invited to become part of this large community action with a short mobile phone video. Videos from everyday trade life are in demand at any time of the day or night. These can be uploaded to handwerk.de/tdh2020 until 6 September.

The submitted videos will be published on handwerk.de on September 19, together with a brief explanation of the activity performed. There, visitors can navigate through the day using a digital clock and are shown the appropriate videos.

How should the videos be created?
Mobile phone videos are perfect as long as the picture and sound quality are right. Portrait or landscape format are not decisive.

How long should the videos be?
Each clip should be between 20 and 60 seconds long and show a continuous take. The videos do not need to be edited in advance.

What should be seen/heard?
One or more work steps. Multiple videos can also be submitted at different times of the day that document the progress of the work. You are welcome to explain what is currently being done on the video. Background noise or background music should be avoided.

What may not be shown?
Inappropriate statements, negligent situations or other inappropriate scenes will not be published.

How can the videos be submitted?
Upload videos to handwerk.de/tdh2020 by September 6. There you will also find all the information about the video project.

The 24-hour video project is a joint action on the occasion of the nationwide Day of the Skilled Crafts on 19 September 2020. This year it will take place for the 10th time. The aim of the nationwide day of action is to make the importance, diversity and performance of the skilled trades clear to a broad public.
