How is a Sixton Peak work shoe line created?

The owners of the Maspica company report:

When it comes to work and safety, reference should first be made to the legislation in force at European level, which differentiates the type of work shoes in terms of risk levels, in order to ensure the safety of workers.
The development of a new Sixton Peak shoe line involves countless steps before it can be launched on the market. It all starts with the creation of a large number of drawings before finding the most suitable one to meet market demands. At Maspica, ideas come from many sides, but above all from the style and research department, which is made up of designers, technicians and engineers. However, the real birth of a new line begins with the analysis of the market, i.e. what already exists and how it can be improved. But not only. We also rely heavily on the requests of distributors and retailers, who can provide us with extremely valuable information thanks to direct contact with the end customer. Another important source of information is the trade fairs in which we regularly participate, in order not only to present ourselves, but also to get to know directly the needs of those who buy and use our shoes.

Once you have recognized the possibility of a new Sixton Peak line, how do you develop it?

First, we try to understand if we can find the right solution to the problem that the market has presented to us. Then we take into account the economic aspects and the feasibility analysis. It is a procedure that requires more than a year of work because it is a matter of finding a proposal that stands out.
The new footwear must offer concrete innovations. It has to be something that users really want and occupy a specific market niche. The physical and perceptual characteristics, the values and the benefits that the potential user can derive from them are evaluated.
Once this phase has been passed, the shoe typology is defined. We start to give shape and style to the shoe line, down to the smallest technical detail, from the upper to the sole, from the insole to the protective toecap. In this phase, the internal interactions between technicians and creatives are continuous and extremely important to improve the overview of all characteristics and to find the right balance between form and function.
Digital modeling facilitates the flexibility of interventions and the definition of the leather or fabric needed for the upper. In parallel, the selected materials are subjected to a review of standards and performance under real conditions at the operating limit. This is a necessary step to make footwear freely tradable throughout Europe and the world.
It should always be noted that every worker wears shoes for many hours and usually with constant and sudden movements in the work environment. For these reasons, they must fit perfectly so that they can carry out their work with the best comfort, guaranteeing maximum breathability, having adequate cushioning and allowing every movement, and doing so in total safety.

Are you starting Sixton Peak production at this time?

After producing the prototype and conducting in-depth product testing in our test lab to exceed the standards required by law, the new safety shoe model will be worn by a certain number of people. This wear test is intended to determine whether the test results achieved are adhered to. Only if this is confirmed do we start production, which we carry out with the most modern technologies and constant controls at every stage of processing. From this point on, we expect the market reaction, but we are sure that we will not lack satisfaction if we have done our job well.

Which new Sixton Peak line are you currently working on ?

This is a very specific proposal that is added to the H.ABC line dedicated to the Horeca sector. The models, called "Coltello", are developed in collaboration with Vibram to meet the specific needs of Horeca employees. The new H.ABC concept, which complies with HACCP regulations, has already been tested and is ready for launch at A+A in Düsseldorf next November.
