Together with the charity Headway, a specialist in brain injuries, Centurion is working towards its goal of setting standards for head safety.
As a leading manufacturer of safety solutions, Centurion is proud to announce its collaboration with Headway, the UK's brain injury charity. Headway offers a range of services to support people affected by brain injuries, their families and caregivers, and to raise awareness of the root causes.
The partnership focuses on two shared goals: to raise funds to help Headway further develop its important network to support brain injury survivors, and to reduce the incidence of brain injuries through greater awareness and understanding in construction and industry.
With this cooperation, Centurion wants to set an example for better cooperation in the industry to better understand and prevent the risks of brain injuries and make workplaces safer. With the 140th anniversary of Centurion, the cooperation heralds a year of activity for more head safety.
Jeff Ward, CEO of Centurion, commented, "We are proud to partner with an organization that shares our goals to reduce brain injuries in the workplace. Headway is a respected, forward-thinking charity that makes a difference in the lives of those affected by brain injuries. Together, we want to foster the understanding and behaviors that provide today's generation of workers with more security than ever before.
Headway Deputy Chief Executive Luke Griggs added: "At Headway, our mission is to improve the lives of those affected by brain injury and help people get their lives back on track. A brain injury can affect anyone, at any moment. Every 90 seconds, someone is admitted to hospital in the UK. In addition to supporting those affected, we are determined to do everything in our power to reduce the number of injuries that occur each year. Even a minor head injury can have serious consequences. This partnership with Centurion will help us create greater awareness and understanding within the construction industry of the importance of protecting the head and brain from injury."
Safety helmet action week 8-14 June
Construction sites that lack adequate protection can be potentially very dangerous places, especially when it comes to head injuries. Therefore, Headway and leading safety manufacturer Centurion are working together to promote awareness of the use and maintenance of safety helmets on the construction site. Brain injuries are more common than you think, and their effects can change the life of the injured person and their family from the ground up. Ensuring that head protection is properly worn and maintained is critical to safety.
