In many companies, the safety shoes are made available to employees in the required protection class. But as different as the employees are, so are the feet in shape and size. Some shoe manufacturers have found a solution so that all employees can wear a comfortable shoe and still all wear uniform company clothing.
The solution is a multi-width system
The solution for the individual fit is called the "multi-width system". The safety shoes, which are offered in a multi-width system, are available in up to four different widths, namely from 10 to 14. The shoes all look identical, but the fit or width of the shoes is different. This means that every employee from size 35 to 50 can choose the width in which he needs the shoe. This system caters much more individually to the fit of the respective employee. Employees who have relatively wide feet often choose a shoe that is too large.
