In view of the ongoing energy crisis and the need to conserve resources, the German government has introduced various short- and medium-term energy-saving measures. These measures, valid since September 2022, have been extended until April 15, 2023. As responsible protection professionals at Allprotec®️, we are actively committed to this initiative and have taken extra steps to further reduce our energy consumption.
Current measures taken by the Federal Government
Room temperature and heating management
- Minimization of room temperature: In public workplaces, the maximum room temperature has been set at 19 degrees. This regulation helps to significantly reduce heating energy consumption.
- Hot water supply: In areas where hot water is only used for hand washing, the temperature has been reduced to the hygienic minimum.
Lighting and energy efficiency
- Restriction of lighting: The lighting of public non-residential buildings and monuments as well as illuminated advertising installations has been restricted for certain times (22:00 to 06:00).
- Heating ban for private swimming pools: This helps to reduce energy consumption in private households.
Additional measures at Allprotec®️
At Allprotec®️, we go beyond government requirements and have taken additional measures:
- LED lighting: We have switched the lighting in our warehouse to energy-efficient LED lights.
- Heating management: We have further reduced the heating temperatures in our offices and work areas.
- E-cars in the field: Our sales representatives are now using electric vehicles to minimize the CO2 footprint of our mobility.
Conclusion of the protection professionals
The energy-saving measures adopted by the German government are an important step towards ensuring energy security and reducing the ecological footprint. At Allprotec®️, we understand our responsibility and actively contribute to saving energy with additional measures. Each of us can contribute, and together we can make a difference.
